"The Path of Governance": Youth Training Program

In order to encourage Hong Kong youth to have a better understanding of the historical development of the national government structure and how Hong Kong people can enter the mainland government structure and actively participate in national development, as well as to consider how Hong Kong's advantages can contribute to national development and provide suggestions in this regard, Mytheast Youth Club is organizing "The Path of Governance": Youth Training Program. This program is sponsored by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education.

Programme Recognition:

Participation Certificate: All participating students will receive a certificate bearing the logos of the funding government departments and supporting organisations.
Awards Ceremony & Media Coverage: Winning schools' teachers and students are guaranteed invitations to the closing ceremony awards presentation. We have partnered with over 300 local and international media outlets, ensuring that at least one outstanding piece of work is selected from each participating school to receive an Outstanding Performance Award, which will also be featured in media coverage.
Distinguished Presenters: All awards will be presented by government officials, Hong Kong NPC Deputies and CPPCC Members, Legislative Council Members, and prominent figures from politics, business, and academia.
Active Participation School Awards: The 3 secondary schools and 3 primary schools with the highest number of participating students will receive Active Participation School Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards. Schools with 100 or more participating students will receive an Active Participation School Award.
Policy Impact: Outstanding proposals will be forwarded to relevant government departments for reference, giving youth a direct voice in policy-making. Select proposals may even be raised by Hong Kong NPC Deputies at the National People's Congress.

Competition Categories and Formats:

Tertiary (Group): Young individuals aged between 18 and 35 in Hong Kong are eligible to register on their own and participate in teams, with each team consisting of 4 to 6 members.
Tertiary (Individual): Young individuals aged between 18 and 35 in Hong Kong are eligible to submit entries on their own.
Senior Secondary (Group): Students currently enrolled in Secondary 4 to Secondary 5 in Hong Kong are eligible to register via their schools. Participating schools may nominate one team consisting of 4 to 6 students.
Senior Secondary (Individual): Students currently enrolled in Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 in Hong Kong are eligible to submit entries either via their schools or as individual participants.
Junior Secondary (Individual): Students currently enrolled in Secondary 1 to Secondary 3 in Hong Kong are eligible to submit entries either via their schools or as individual participants.
Senior Primary (Individual): Students currently enrolled in Primary 4 to Primary 6 in Hong Kong are eligible to submit entries either via their schools or as individual participants.
Junior Primary (Individual): Students currently enrolled in Primary 1 to Primary 3 in Hong Kong are eligible to submit entries either via their schools or as individual participants.

Key Dates:

1 September 2026 (Tuesday): Competition topics announced
6 November 2026 (Friday): Deadline for registration in all categories and submission of works for the individual category
14 November 2026 (Saturday): National Historical Achievements and Contemporary Government Structure Experiential Learning Day
28 November 2026 (Saturday): Sharing Session with Hong Kong National People's Congress Representatives and Political Consultative Conference Members
12 December 2026 (Saturday): Policy Research Workshop
13 January 2027 (Wednesday): Deadline for submission of works for the group category
30 January 2027 (Saturday): Policy Proposal Presentation Day and Closing Ceremony for the Program

Competition Topic and Registration Method:

Individual and group participants registering through schools must submit an application form.
Entries for the individual category, together with the application form, must be submitted on or before November 6, 2026 (Friday), while application forms for the group category must be submitted on or before November 6, 2026 (Friday).

The contents must be presented in Chinese. Please create an account on Aicmark and submit your work via the competition zone on their website.

Senior Secondary (Group Competition Topic):

*This competition will use Aicmark as an AI grading tool to provide an objective and uniform standard as a scoring reference.

Personal Data Collection Statement:

We collect and retain the personal data of nominating schools, students, and their nominating teachers for the purposes of the 2026-2027 "The Path of Governance": Youth Training Program and for our liaison and communication purposes.
Schools and students participating in the 2026-2027 "The Path of Governance": Youth Training Program consent to our use of their personal data for display on our relevant websites, Instagram, publications, etc.
Generally speaking, personal data provided in the nomination forms will be retained for one year, after which it will be destroyed.
Remarks: Award-winning students may be invited by us to participate in interviews, photo shoots, performances, etc., and the copyright for such publication and use shall be held by us.
