1. About the Programme
The UN Youth Development Programme (UNYDP) is an exclusive academic training and study programme, co-created by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), CBAMUN and Mytheast Youth Club for motivated young Chinese individuals.

This 12-day immersive journey takes you inside the United Nations in Geneva, across international organizations, and through the stunning landscapes of Switzerland and France. You will engage with UN officials, diplomats, and experts—building the skills and network to become a versatile, cross-cultural leader in global affairs.

2. Highlights
Step Inside the UN: Based at UNITAR in Geneva. Attend lectures and workshops led by UN officials.
Build Your Global Network: Connect with diplomats, UN experts, and international scholars.
Witness Diplomacy in Action: Observe real UN conferences and participate in a Model UN simulation.
Explore the Alps: Visit Mont Blanc, Jungfrau, Matterhorn, and the Mer de Glace glacier.
From Learning to Action: After the study tour, participants will develop an action plan on how to apply their United Nations learning experience to contribute to Hong Kong's or the national development. Outstanding proposals will be publicly presented at the Achievement Presentation and Closing Ceremony.

Official UNITAR Programme: The only programme of its kind, exclusively tailored for Chinese youth in partnership with UNITAR.

From "Learner" to "Doer":

After the study tour, participants will develop a personal action plan entitled "How to Apply My United Nations Learning Experience to Contribute to Hong Kong's or the national development".

Mytheast Youth Club will assist in the implementation of the action plans, providing resource matching and support.

Youth who complete the program will be awarded the honorary title of "Mytheast International Youth Leader".

They will be invited to attend the Achievement Presentation and Closing Ceremony, where they will receive a relevant certificate.

Outstanding action plans will be publicly presented at the Presentation and Closing Ceremony and will be featured by partner media outlets, allowing their ideas to be seen by society.

Mr. Jerome L’host: UNITAR Senior Expert Advisor, UN-certified Consultant and Trainer, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Certified Coach, Synaps Certified Coach, and LSA (Leadership Style Analysis) Coach; has managed over 40 large-scale international projects across more than 30 countries.
Mr. Rabih El-Haddad: Director of the Division for Multilateral Diplomacy at UNITAR; responsible for developing and delivering UN system training focused on the multilateral working environment in Geneva, with expertise in conference diplomacy, multilateral negotiations, human rights protection mechanisms, and the work of the Human Rights Council.
Ms. Marie-José Astre-Démoulin: Career Development Specialist, Consultant, and Lead Trainer at the United Nations Office at Geneva; Expert on Intercultural Communication at the Bern Museum of Communication; conducts workshops for UN staff on conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and performance management; has developed and delivered a range of career development programmes.
Ms. Claire Doole: UNITAR Consultant, Public Speaking and Media Relations Expert, and Trainer; former Spokesperson for the United Nations, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF); former BBC Reporter; currently leads a team of experts delivering speech training worldwide.
Mr. Lars Tillfors: UNITAR Consultant, Multilateral Conference and Diplomacy Expert, former Swedish Diplomat; extensive experience in multilateral and bilateral diplomacy and negotiations; has served as a representative and international civil servant in New York, Geneva, and Washington; has long provided training on multilateral diplomacy and UN negotiations for young diplomats and international civil servants at UNITAR.
Mr. Julian Caletti: UNITAR Officer, UN System Expert, Virtual Tour Specialist; previously worked with the Press and Information Service at the United Nations Office at Geneva; currently responsible for developing and delivering training programmes at the Division for Multilateral Diplomacy, UNITAR.
Ms. Alice Richard: UNITAR Consultant, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Expert, first Swiss-certified mentor for the UN SDG competition; worked for 14 years at UNICEF, leading product-based fundraising and strategic partnership management; passionate about driving social impact, empowering individuals, and inspiring positive action.
