"The Path of Inheritance": Education in the Transmission of Traditional Culture and Skills in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
Hong Kong–Zhongshan Youth Two-Way Exchange Delegation

This project is funded by The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland 2025-26. This project aims to facilitate a two-way exchange, enabling youth from Hong Kong and Zhongshan to gain an in-depth understanding of the differences and complementarities between the two regions in vocational and technical education, employment markets, and cultural heritage. It seeks to promote the integrated development of young people in the Greater Bay Area and provide reference for their future educational and career planning.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as a key focus of national strategic development, makes it crucial to promote exchanges and cooperation among youth within the region. Both Hong Kong and Zhongshan are core cities of the Greater Bay Area, each possessing distinct characteristics and advantages in vocational and technical education, cultural heritage, and youth development.
-
Hong Kong: Internationalized education system, mature financial and service industries, multicultural integration.
-
Zhongshan: Rich resources in vocational and technical education, supportive innovation and entrepreneurship policies, profound historical and cultural heritage (e.g., the former residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, etc.).
